Rigid Rules can only Divide People

Breaking rules just because you don’t like them is meaningless. And, there is no courage in continually challenging everything without cause. On the other hand, leaving a paradigm that limits you more than enables you is vital, in all aspects especially nutrition and performance.

Choosing to break the rules that confine you to one nutritional archetype such as carnivore, vegan, vegetarian, paleo, keto or pescitarian etc, and in such limit your goals and success - just make sense to me.

I salute those who invest the time in learning the rules and restraints of nutritional purest teachings in their particular dogmas and then search out the understandings of how breaking some of the rules in that doctrine may produce worthy outcomes for the individual. Before you decide to break the rule - I encourage you to reflect on the outcome of the decision and if the decision aligns with your individual bio-chemistry and targets.

Personally, I advocate for only starting a fire when the outcome is worthy of it.

I think we need to stop worshipping set in stone advice and commands and move beyond myths that have perhaps been dispelled and outdated for years, though public science has not yet caught up. Let’s break free of the label ‘rebel’ and ‘conformist’ and allow freedom with the boxes of nutritional models.

Have you broken the rules of a nutritional cult and benefited? Please share you success …
